Like many non-stick cookware from recent years, Swiss Diamond is sold as a healthy, safe and PFOA-free cookware. The brand underscores its commitment to environmentally friendly production by taking measures such as recycling, hydropower and the production of release agents in its own factory to minimise its impact on the environment.
Swiss Diamond tableware has an aluminium base. Aluminium is often used for tableware because of its thermal conductivity. In Swiss diamonds, the aluminium foundation is cast under high pressure, which supposedly never deforms. The bottom of the trays will be perfectly flat for an even distribution of heat. This base is then sandblasted for the plasma coating, which is necessary for good adhesion of non-stick coatings. The three-layer non-stick coating is diamond reinforced for maximum strength.
The non-stick coating is patented and uses diamond crystals in the form of nanocomposite to exploit the properties of this element. Diamonds are naturally very durable and excellent heat conductors. The handles are ergonomically shaped and have many features. You can use this kitchenware on gas, electric, shiny, ceramic and halogen hobs. It is not compatible with insertion.

But without PFOA, there is no PTFE. They’re two different things. Although PFOA is excluded from production, Teflon is still a PTFE based formulation and many non-stick pans will still have PTFE in their liner unless otherwise specified.
